Diary of a Confused Mom (in Morocco): December 26th 2017

With the various (unrelated) leaks, the major roof fix, pool repairs and then the random breakages that have been happening all i could think this morning was that our house was like Humpty Dumpty and no one would be able to put it back together again.

I had a friend over today and while we were chatting I asked T to make her a cappuccino. He not only made a perfect cup but also rolled it in on his roller blades.

Funny how certain things fall in place.

O has a basketball tournament tomorrow. The coaches asked them to bring in a lunchbox. A lunchbox... on a Saturday. My response was that I was going to have a word with the coaches about how it's unethical that i should have to make a lunchbox for a weekend day but O surprised be by saying he's make it himself. And he did.

That's parenting...all about the silver linings.

I have just realized that What's App is stalking me. Yesterday it told me "Arrived at home" and this morning it said something like "just woke up" ðŸ˜³

A little freaked out.

Z keeps drawing out the food pyramid for me and explaining what's healthy and what's not. He obviously really enjoys this unit at school and I couldn't be happier about them teaching it!

Diary of a Confused Mom (in Morocco): November 10th 2017

Upon reflection, I think every mother needs the 'Room of Requirement' from Hogwarts.

It can be a safe haven when you're wanting to make a call while the kids are around or a place to tune out and recover after chaos like every morning getting the kids ready, fed and out of the house to the bus.

Of course it can also be a spa and I can think of so many other uses but all seem to center around a peaceful place to escape :)

Diary of a Confused Mom (in Morocco): November 9th 2017

I've been hearing more and more about Z's 'daughter' and I'm starting to think that she's basically his imaginary friend through which he lives out his aspirations and expresses his fears.

She seems to do things that he knows are forbidden and apparently while she was putting on her sock yesterday she pulled it up so high it went up to cover her head!

Something tells me this daughter is going to play a very important role in our lives.
