Perfectly casual (and somewhat typical) conversation with my 12 year old today:
Me: Do you think X (one of his peers) is nice?
O: Ummm.. X took a mental age test and got 7.
Me: What do you think your mental age is?
O: I got 35.
Not in the least bit surprised.
